Here we are with #MeetUsMonday, and here he is one of our 5th Grade teachers, Andy Koning!⚡️
🔴Being a Bay Area native, Andy relocated to Southern California and attended Biola University before returning to the Bay with his wife to continue growing their family.
⚫️He loves being with his family (there’s a lot of them) whether it’s hanging out at home or going off on adventures!
🔴Andy also loves playing and tinkering with guitars (he built the one in the photo!). He was in a band, once upon a time, but now fills that time with his goats, Brownie and J Lo!
⚫️Andy says, “I love the connectedness that the staff here at Valley has to each other and to God. There is amazing support of each other so that we can easily thrive in the classroom”!

Welcome back to #MeetUsMonday where you can meet our Middle School Principal, Sara Heise! ✨
🔴Sara is originally from East Jordan, Michigan, and has received a Master’s degree, is an Education Specialist, and has most recently earned her Administrative Credential.
⚫️She is a mother of 5 (3 children and 2 dogs), who loves to adventure no matter what it looks like: hiking, boarding, traveling, and finding new places to eat!
🔴Sara has a knack for sports and has found coaching any sport is super fun! (Did you know she worked in college athletics as a basketball coach??)
⚫️Sara says, “I moved back from Michigan just for the opportunity to be at Valley. The teamwork that exists here is special, and I’m super excited about the future. Plus, it doesn’t get much better than working with Middle School students - they are the best”!
